Dear Classmates,
The Quigley 4th year class of 1961 is hosting an event of celebration/thanksgiving for Quigley�s greatest faculty. Eight of nine (all except McKenna who is too ill) have indicated that they will attend, i.e., Cross, Finnegan, Flaherty, Gorman, Kleeman, Nicola, Sheridan, Winters. The event will be held on Thursday, August 18, from 4-8 at the following deep south location where the plurality of the faculty resides.

A steak, chicken or vegetarian dinner will be $25 (which includes tip), payable in cash at the event and there is a cash bar. Please indicate attendance by 8/14.
Since this was sent Bob Cross notified them he'll be unable to attend. I talked to Fr. Cross at St. Ben's rehab Center in Niles when he was recuperating from a fall. He mentioned he was living in a Senior Housing Community in Oak Park. I think it's called Brookdale. He said he celebrates Mass there on Saturdays at 3:00.

It's with regret that we have to cancel our September overnight reunion due to lack of positive responses.
We can perhaps put an overnight together as a 50+1 event!
We are currently looking at alternatives.
Among the suggestions are:
dinner at a mid-priced, conveniently located restaurant, for whoever would like to make it;
and, a return to Ascension.

I don't believe I've been there since that awesome day in 1968!Once we have a date and estimated costs, we can send an invitation to all. I'd suggest setting a price (separate for single or double rooms) a little higher than the anticipated expenses. Any surplus could go to Priests retirement or Fr.
