Just a quick word of thanks for all of the time & effort you put into the website that greatly contributed to the fantastic week-end that we all enjoyed so much. Many, many happy memories and a chance, not only to reconnect with so many old friends, but also to get in touch with and feel a lot of gratitude for the incredibly positive influence that the Q experience has had on my life. Outstanding get-togethers last weekend .... Well executed and enjoyable. -
It was a great party. It was exceptionally great when you consider the following,in descending order;) 6. I can remember everything. 5. The place was crawling with priests. 4 No live entertainment,not even a DJ. 3. No narcotics used, not even hard liquor. 2 The ratio of men to women was over 70 to 1. 1. It was over at 9:00. Again, thanks to the donor and thanks to the committee who gave a tremendous amount of their time. Mike Gerharz

Pete: It often amazes me that old friends can renew and take up friendships after 50 years just like it was yesterday. Thank you for all the work it took to put together the Saturday night gathering and the Sunday Mass and dinner at Quigley. I think it was outstanding to capture all the names and whereabouts of the alumni. And I especially thank you for allowing me to "crash" the party. For me, the gathering for a couple of hours around John Lillig's dining table with you and Len and John was a very special "lagniappe" that I did not expect - but was the highlight of the weekend. So I just want to thank you for all the work in gathering us together. Now I am excited about some sort of Mundelein reunion in the future. Peace, Ed Barbier

It was a great party and I want to add my thanks to the organizers, attendees, and the anonymous donor ( It was not me for those of you were guessing me.) At first It thought how much we had changed but as we talked and visited I thought how much we resembled our younger selves. Tom Hanrahan

Let me first respond as someone who has been a lawyer far too long: Although the matter is not entirely free from doubt, on balance I agree with Mike, particularly in giving thanks to the anonymous donor (did anyone notice the person who didn’t applaud?) and to the members of the committee. It was a great experience, which we must try to replicate in something less than 51 years. My only regret was in not being at the Saturday “mission party” and in not having worked the room more thoroughly. Much has happened in our lives, and I have much catching up to do. Frank Cihlar

To the Organizing Committee and Webmaster,
You enabled the Class of ’61 to have a weekend that will live in our memories for the rest of our lives! Everything was done to perfection. I can’t thank you enough.
All of you worked very long and hard to make this possible. I especially thank Pete Mazza, Jack Lillig, and Jay Champelli for their exceptional leadership and unrelenting efforts to make this a reality. Dave Van Thull has done an absolutely remarkable job with the website.
Please send my heartfelt thanks to our anonymous classmate who so generously underwrote the entire costs of the event. Everyone in the class is forever in his debt.
I hope we can do this again before too many years go by. God bless all of you!

was wonderful!
One of our classmates said it all, when he said that this was like we
never left, or like it was yesterday. I agree, totally; we may look a
little different and yet we didn't, if you know what I mean. Some of us
were ordained, and many of us were not. I was in the seminary for
seven years; my last year I was in Baltimore, St. Mary's Seminary, for
Joliet. After that year, I knew the priesthood wasn't for me, and yet
I also knew that I would never forget or regret those seven years. And
so, when I was reunited with all of you again; it was like "coming
home."
In my parish church of St. Damian, I teach RCIA and I coordinate the
music and readings for funerals, and I love that work. It is a part of
me, a part of my life that I treasure. Thanks again to Pete and Jay
and everybody on the committee. And yes! let's come together again,
soon.
